For the SAJA e.V.I designed a website for SAJA, the study and work group Joanna de Angelis from Berlin, that expresses the association: inviting, reassuring and full of spiritual depth. SAJA is a Christian spiritualist association with roots in Brazil, and the website needed to reflect this special atmosphere both visually and functionally.
It was important to me not just to convey information, but to use my mindful web design to create a digital space in which visitors can feel at home. really feel at home. A place where they can arrive - with a design that is gentle and provides clear orientation.
Color scheme: Yellow as a warm welcome
The color scheme of the website is strongly based on the Corporate Identity of SAJA e.V. - a warm shade of yellow that radiates friendliness, light and hope. This yellow creates the basis for a calming yet invigorating design.
In addition to the yellow, the colors have been chosen to harmonize well with the photos and create a feeling of closeness and naturalness. This immediately puts visitors in a relaxed, open mood - exactly what a spiritual association wants to radiate.
Photos: Nature and light as spiritual elements
Images play a central role in the design of the website. I have deliberately chosen photos that the beauty of nature capture - light, water, trees, gentle landscapes. These motifs not only reflect tranquillity and depth, but also symbolize the spiritual orientation of the association.
The photos are not overloaded, but blend harmoniously into the overall picture. In this way, they support the feeling of arriving and being at home without being distracting.
Web design with clear navigation and link boxes for quick orientation
Right at the beginning of the page you will find Link boxesthat allow quick access to the most important areas. This makes navigation particularly user-friendly, especially for new visitors who want to get a quick overview.
This small, but fine web design function makes it much easier to get started and is a real added value in terms of usability.
Personalities and works - more than just facts
As SAJA e.V. is strongly characterized by inspiring personalities, I have designed various "About" pages that present these people in a lively way.
A special highlight is the Book-Sliderwhich shows different works by one personality in a simple way. Clicking on a book opens a short summary of its contents, and arrows allow you to easily browse through the selection.
This interactive component brings the site to life and invites you to discover it.
Events - flexible and clear
Spiritual community also thrives on exchange and shared experience. That is why there is an area on the website for eventswhich is updated regularly.
At the request of the association, individual PDF pages with program details can be integrated here. This ensures that everything is always up-to-date and clearly laid out - and interested parties can quickly find all the important dates.
Inspiring quotes as atmospheric endings
At the bottom of many pages you will find Quotesthat are thought-provoking and reinforce the message of the page. My web design combines these with a suitable image that captures the respective mood.
This little poetic touch rounds off the user experience and makes the content resonate for longer.
Multilingualism for Brazilian and German-speaking visitors
SAJA e.V. has its spiritual roots in Brazil and is also aimed at a Portuguese-speaking audience in Berlin and beyond.
The website is therefore bilingualwith easy switching options between German and Portuguese - realized by a flexible plugin. So everyone feels addressed and welcome, no matter which language is spoken.
