Every club has its own soul. Its values, its work, its people. This is exactly what I was able to experience during the relaunch of the Website of the Mevlana e.V. into a suitable, lively web design.
Web design for clubs means much more to me than just designing a beautiful shell. It's about creating digital spaces that make the essence of the community tangible - and are functional, clear and inviting at the same time. That was exactly what I was aiming for with this project close to my heart.
A place for encounters, education and culture: Mevlana e.V.
The Mevlana Kultur- und Bildungsverein e.V. is much more than a registered association. It is a place of encounter - for people of all ages, cultures and realities of life. The association is involved in intercultural educational work, organizes events, promotes integration and offers spaces for exchange, togetherness and spiritual inspiration. It is precisely this complexity that should be reflected in the new web design.
My task was to create a digital presence that makes the heart of this association visible: openness, community, education, togetherness. It was important to me not just to design an aesthetically pleasing website - but one that breathes. That does not overwhelm, but invites. Which does not explain, but touches.
With every design decision, I asked myself: How does this feel for the user who comes to this site for the first time? What do people who are looking for orientation, connection or a cultural anchor point need? The answer lay in a clearly structured, mindful web designthat inspires rather than overwhelms, guides rather than instructs, carries rather than distracts.
What was the initial situation?
The association's old website was getting on in years. Not mobile-optimized, visually overloaded, difficult to navigate - and above all: no longer in line with what Mevlana e.V. lives and embodies today. It was time for a careful relaunch that brought content, structure and design into harmony.

Mindful web design - what does that mean in concrete terms?
Mindful web design for me means: design with feeling. Technology with depth. Content that is allowed to breathe. For Mevlana e.V., I therefore paid particular attention to the following aspects:
- White Space - deliberate empty spaces that give the eye peace and the mind clarity. The content is allowed to breathe. Nothing imposes itself.
- Gentle typography - calm, easy-to-read fonts that give the reader space to concentrate on the essentials.
- Atmospheric photos - Authentic insights into club life, lovingly selected. People at the center. Life, encounters, connection.
- Color concept - the warm, natural green of the logo flows subtly into the design and creates a harmonious connection between logo, content and imagery.
- Photo galleries - At the request of the association, I integrated lively photo series that document events and convey emotions.
The result? A website that touches rather than just works. Clear. Warm. Personal.
Target group-oriented design for the association
The website is aimed at a diverse target group: members, interested parties, supporters - from young to old. The navigation is deliberately simply structuredwith a clear focus on:
- Current club life (e.g. via the "Events" page)
- Information about the association - Easily accessible and understandable
- Contact optionsthat are inviting and create trust
The new Event page is a real centerpiece of the site. It not only helps with the organization of the club's everyday life, but also brings structure to the cooperation. Dates are easy to find, clearly listed and maintained with attention to detail.

Web design for associations - with empathy and structure
Associations thrive on commitment, encounters and community. This is exactly what a website should reflect - without shouting loudly. My focus is always on a Balance of clarity, emotionality and technology. User-friendly and search engine optimized. Modern and warm-hearted at the same time.
I firmly believe in it: Web design can be felt.
For Mevlana e.V., this has created a place on the Internet that not only informs - but also connects. That inspires. That opens up.
What makes good web design for clubs?
- SimplicityVisitors find their way around immediately - whether young or old, digital-savvy or less familiar with technology.
- IdentityColors, images and language reflect the character of the association.
- FunctionalityEverything is technically clean, responsive, barrier-free.
- EmotionalityThe design appeals not only to the eye, but also to the heart.
Conclusion: Web design with soul
Web design for associations means building bridges - between technology and emotion, between function and form, between structure and humanity. The relaunch of the Mevlana e.V. website shows how strongly mindful web design can be effective if it concentrates on the essentials: focusing on people.
The targeted use of white space, calm typography, warm colors and emotional imagery created a digital home that inspires trust. The website is now a place where new members feel welcome, existing members are better informed - and the association is as present online as it is in real life: connecting, caring, clear.
